Microsoft has unveiled a new category of Windows PCs, dubbed "Copilot+ PC," which promise significantly faster and more powerful AI performance thanks to an advanced NPU (Neural Processing Unit) built directly into the chip.
Microsoft has announced "Copilot+ PC," a new category of personal computers designed to deliver a flagship AI experience. The key differentiator of these devices is a powerful NPU (Neural Processing Unit) integrated into the chipset, such as Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Series, capable of over 40 TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second). This hardware-level integration allows AI models to run much faster and more securely directly on the device. Users can expect experiences like real-time live translation, an advanced voice-controlled search feature called "Recall," and sophisticated image processing with less reliance on an internet connection. Microsoft showcased new devices from its Surface line, including the Surface Laptop and Surface Pro, as the first Copilot+ PCs, with models from other partners expected to follow.
