UK-based startup Nscale has closed Europe’s largest ever Series B funding round at $1.1 billion, aiming to expand its AI-native infrastructure across the globe.
Nscale raised $1.1 billion in a Series B round led by energy firm Aker ASA, with backing from major names like Microsoft, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Dell, and others.
The funding addresses the acute shortage of GPU and compute capacity driven by rising demands from generative AI models.
Its integrated strategy covers everything from hardware procurement to software orchestration, offering comprehensive control over the stack.
Nscale plans to deploy data centers powered by renewable energy, enabling low-cost, low-latency services.
Its platform will support AI workflows, including training, inference, and model optimization, making it an end-to-end AI infrastructure provider.
